A Recognised Acting Qualification for Your Child

From January 2027, our new one-to-one LCME Acting exam programme will be open to both OTMYT members and young people who don't currently attend OTMYT. Qualifications are available from Grade 1 right through to Grade 8.

Whether your child is taking their first steps in acting or is a more experienced performer looking for a structured goal and a qualification to show for their progress, there will be a grade to suit them. The most appropriate starting grade will be recommended based on age, experience and current acting ability — and we're happy to advise.

What's Involved?

Each course runs over 12 weeks and consists of weekly one-to-one lessons with an experienced OTMYT acting teacher. Sessions are tailored to the individual, focusing on the skills and material required for the chosen grade — including characterisation, voice, movement, interpretation, improvisation and performance.

Lessons are designed not just to prepare your child for their examination, but to develop them as a performer. At the end of the term, they sit their LCME Acting examination, and can continue to progress through the grades in subsequent terms.

Grades Available

The programme is open to a wide range of abilities. We will recommend the most suitable starting grade based on your child's age, experience and current level.

Fees - Spring 2027

All fees are all-inclusive — covering tuition, resources and the exam fee. There are no hidden extras. The fee can be paid upfront, in full, or in three instalments before sessions 1, 5 and 9.
