Singing Exams

One-to-one Singing tuition and examinations for OTMYT members and non-members

A Recognised Qualification for Your Child

If you're looking for a way to give your child focused, individual tuition and a recognised qualification to show for their hard work, our LCME Musical Theatre Singing for Actors exam programme could be exactly what you're looking for.

From January 2027, the programme will be open to both OTMYT members and young people who don't currently attend OTMYT — so whether your child already performs with us or is completely new to the group, they are very welcome to take part.

What's Involved?

Each course is completed within a single term and includes 12 weekly one-to-one lessons, tailored to your child's individual needs and the requirements of their chosen level. At the end of the term, they sit their LCME examination.

Lessons are delivered by an experienced teacher with a proven track record of excellent results, and go far beyond simply learning the material. The focus is on developing confident, engaging performance — helping your child combine the singing and acting skills needed to communicate a song effectively. It's individual tuition with a clear goal and a real qualification at the end of it.

Levels Available

The programme covers a wide range of abilities, from those just starting out to more experienced performers working towards higher grades. Whatever your child's current level, there will be a suitable entry point for them.
