Ben Rackham
Ben’s love of performing began when he joined Stagecoach at just age 5, and he hasn’t stopped since. Through Stagecoach he appeared in many professional productions as a part of the children’s chorus such as Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Scrooge, Evita and Jesus Christ Superstar.
He has also performed in a number of shows with Chester’s Tip Top productions; appearing in Jesus Christ Superstar, Our Day Out, The Witches, The Show Must Go On, Calendar Girls and most recently The Sound of Music.
Ben’s passion for Musical Theatre has always been prevalent within his academic life. In addition to performing in a number of school productions at Christleton High School, Ben also earned both an A-Level in Music and a Level 3 BTEC in Performing Arts. He is currently studying for a degree in Musical Theatre at the Chichester Conservatoire where he hopes to further his skills and go on to a career in performing.
Ben joined OTMYT as a cast member for their first production of Godspell and has since performed with them in The Addams Family, Magic of the Musicals and Whistle Down the Wind. Ben owes so much of who he is as a performer and person today to OTMYT and its supportive staff, so is thrilled to be able to return as a part of the summer workshop team!
