Our OTMYT Upper Seniors group is available to young performers who are in School Year 9 at the time of starting, or above, up to the age of 19.

OTMYT Upper Seniors offers a weekly (Saturdays) three hours of musical theatre fun and skills training in Acting, Singing & Dance, from 10am - 1pm. In line with our ethos of 'Learning by Doing', these sessions work towards two productions per academic year which are:

• September - December: Rehearsals for and performances of Musical Theatre's Greatest Hits.
• January - July: Rehearsals for and performances of a full stage musical at Storyhouse, Chester, in the Summer Term.

Commitment is for a minimum of one school term (September - December) or two school terms (January - July).

The application window for a January 2026 start, with OTMYT Upper Seniors, to join our cast for We Will Rock You at Storyhouse, Chester, is now open. You can apply using the button near the bottom of this page. Please read all of the information about dates and fees before you apply.

QUEEN'S We Will Rock You, School Edition at Storyhouse, Chester

Weekly Sessions 10am - 1pm (at Christleton High School)

• Saturday 10th January - Saturday 28th March
• Saturday 25th April - Saturday 18th July
• Note - No sessions on Saturday 23rd May or Saturday 30th May, due to half term.

Additional Rehearsals (at Christleton High School)

• Saturday 20th June - This rehearsal will be a double session and will run from 10:00am-4:00pm
• Tuesday 21st July - 10:00am-4:00pm

Technical Rehearsal (at Storyhouse, Chester)

• Wednesday 22nd July - 6:00pm-9:00pm

Dress Rehearsal (at Storyhouse, Chester)

• Thursday 23rd July - 6:00pm-9:30pm (Storyhouse, Chester)

Performances (at Storyhouse, Chester)

• Saturday 25th July (2:00pm, Cast required from 1:00pm)
• Saturday 25th July (7:00pm, Cast required from 6:00pm)

Fees

The cost is £504 for the two-term production cycle, in total, and is payable in one of the three following ways:  

Option 1: 4-Weekly

Three payments of £84, on or before the following dates:

• Saturday 10th January (Session 1)
• Saturday 7th February (Session 5)
• Saturday 7th March (Session 9)
• Saturday 25th April (Session 13)
• Saturday 6th June (Session 17)
• Saturday 27th June (Session 21)

Option 2: Termly

Two payments of £252, on or before the following dates:

• Saturday 10th January (Session 1)
• Saturday 25th April (Session 13)

Option 3: Whole Production Cycle

One payment of £504, on or before the following date:

• Saturday 10th January (Session 1)
