Tim retired in 2021, after 39 years of full time Music teaching in secondary schools and 6th form college and he has been an A Level examiner for practical music with the WJEC exam board since 2018.

Tim was conductor of Wrexham Youth Choir for 11 years and he has conducted and sung in choirs since he was 18, organising music tours to Austria, Italy, Holland and Switzerland. He has conducted at Llangollen International Eisteddfod, Disneyland Paris, Birmingham’s Town Hall and Symphony Hall, and the Queen Elizabeth and Royal Festival Halls in London.

Tim worked with Stagecoach Theatre Arts and Castaway Theatre in its early days, musically directing Copacabana, West Side Story and Pirates of Penzance at Chester’s Gateway Theatre. More recently he returned to work with them on Legally Blonde and Wizard of Oz.

In 1992 Tim was asked to become musical director for Tip Top Productions...and he is still there now! In this role he has worked on many shows including Annie, La Cage Aux Folles, Oliver!, The Sound of Music, Godspell, My Fair Lady, Cabaret, A Chorus Line, Honk!, Wizard of Oz, Jesus Christ Superstar, Beauty and the Beast, The Full Monty, Grease, Avenue Q, Priscilla, Queen of the Desert and Cats, as well as countless pantomimes.
