We Will Rock You marked OTMYT's second full-scale production at Storyhouse, Chester, bringing together a cast of over 100 talented young performers aged 8 to 18. Presented across four performances over two days, the production featured both the specially adapted Young@Part edition and the full Schools Edition, allowing members of all ages to take to the stage in one of the world's most iconic rock musicals. Supported by dynamic choreography, showstopping costumes, incredible sound, spectacular lighting, digital scenery and an amazing backstage team, the production showcased the creativity, commitment and talent that OTMYT is known for.
From the first rehearsal to the final curtain call, We Will Rock You embodied OTMYT's ethos of Learning by Doing. Months of hard work culminated in a production that delighted audiences and gave every cast member the opportunity to develop their confidence, performance skills and teamwork in a professional theatre environment. It remains one of OTMYT's most ambitious productions to date and a show that everyone involved will remember with great pride.
