Eleanor has been an avid performer since starting her musical theatre journey at Stagecoach, aged just 6 years old. This led her to early child roles in professional shows, including Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Evita, Whistle Down the Wind and Scrooge – A Christmas Carol (playing Martha, Belinda and Cathy Cratchet). As her experience and love for performing blossomed, Eleanor was able to take on ever more varied challenges when she joined the Tip Top team; roles in Roald Dahl’s Witches and This is My Musical (TIMM) helped her to mature as an artist. She remains particularly proud of her TIMM debut and cites this as the steepest but most enjoyable learning curve of her performing career to date.
Eleanor has taken a keen interest in sharing her passion for musical theatre and started teaching youngsters when she was a senior member of the Stagecoach team in Chester. This comprised regular weekend teaching work, as well as assisting with shows and Summer Workshops. Eleanor particularly enjoys working with other like-minded individuals and gains great satisfaction from seeing others realise their talent in an encouraging and fun environment.
In 2019, Eleanor started her Degree in Musical Theatre at the Arden School of Theatre in Manchester. Having completed her first year of intense training she is looking forward to the exciting challenges that lie ahead and to further honing her skills in singing, acting and dancing. Having been a student at OTMYT for 2 years, she is particularly excited to be returning as a mentor, whilst continuing with her higher education. She is delighted to be working with her long-time teacher and mentor, Simon Phillips, along with the rest of the team, and to helping more young people fall in love with musical theatre, just as she did.
